Ted and Marion arrived at the River Run Centre in Guelph, Ontario this week for rehearsals of the Outerbridge – Magical Moments in Time show. Their team loaded the show's 10,000 pounds of props and equipment into the theatre and spent the week teching the show. The Outerbridge's four-month, coast-to-coast tour kicks off on Saturday, January 9 at this prestigious 785-seat venue.
May the holiday season levitate your spirits to new heights!
In 2011 Ted and Marion Outerbridge will be touring with a new show, Outerbridge – The Time Capsule Tour, with new posters, photos, and key artwork. One of the highlights of the new show will be a prediction of the contents of a time capsule for each theatre.
What would you put in a time capsule?
Several months before their performance at a theatre, the Outerbridges will predict the contents of a time capsule, lock the prediction in a metal chest, and ship the chest for display in the theatre lobby or another public place. On the evening of the performance, randomly-selected audience members will decide what items the time capsule should contain. Then the local mayor or another public figure will open the time capsule, and the contents will match!
Ted and Marion Outerbridge have combined real life experiences with a unique fusion of magic, dance, and theatre – and the result is Magical Moments in Time. This world-class illusion show has played to sold-out houses and standing ovations across Canada and in Europe, reaching into the minds and hearts of audiences and taking them on a magical journey through time. Ted and Marion Outerbridge’s extensive touring schedule, recent “Touring Artist of the Year” nomination, and the fact that 90% of theatre presenters bring them back within two seasons, make it clear that they are the most popular illusion show with Canadian audiences.
